Registration is closed

Please only register for camping if you have been offered a place for Junior Sailing Week. No other camping is permitted.

Please complete the registration to indicate the days that you intend to sleep on site. This is just so we know who will be around. Don't worry, you don't have to take your tent down if you're not there all the time!

It's all very exciting that we're going to be camping again at WOSC, but there are some rules that we all need to follow to make it an enjoyable and special experience and to keep everyone safe. Please read these carefully right to the end - any questions e-mail training@wosc.org.uk.

1. It is a WOSC rule that non-members cannot camp. Please do not plan to bring any adults or kids that are not WOSC members for an overnight stay. If you do, you will all be asked to leave. During the day, you can bring up to 5 guests (adults + children) and sign them in and pay for them (£2 each) as usual. However, any guest must be off site by 10.30pm.

2. Camping is permitted between the swings and the boat park, please do not camp on the bund or the other side of the lake, tempting as it is. Please do not erect your tent or 'bagsy' a spot before 12pm on Monday. JSW camping is for Monday to Thursday inclusive. However, you can also camp Friday night if you are attending the Junior Regatta on Saturday, register for this camping at the same time as for JSW. Please have tents packed up by 3pm on the day you are leaving.

3. Please leave a reasonable gap between tents. You may have to arrange in more than one line parallel to the lake shore, but please leave a space to walk through so that the site is accessible for all WOSC members. You may be asked to move a tent if you are in the way.

4. Please be considerate in the space you occupy. WOSC is small and there will be a lot of people camping. Please bring the smallest tent that you can manage with. Please don't erect additional awnings, gazebos, outhouses, sheds, whatever. Some people may be camping later in the week, so don't spread into any empty spots as they may be needed. Be frugal with the space you take.

5. IMPORTANT. Because of the risk of fire, cooking should only take place in the galley or on the club bar-b-cue. For convenience, bags of charcoal, tin foil and lighters will be provided for use on the club bar-b-cue. There will be an honesty pot for donations if you use these materials.

6. IMPORTANT. No fires of any kind anywhere on site (firepits, stoves, bar-b-cues). Also, no burning of wood on the bar-b-cue. Wood smoke is a terrible pollutant and a serious health risk for those with asthma or heart conditions.

7. Please be considerate with noise - quiet time is 10.30pm until 8.30am. No radios or music at any time as we all have different tastes. Your soothing classics are someone else's irritating buzz. Headphones please.

8. Please bear in mind that there is only one fridge freezer for everyone. Please do not bring your weekly shop and use cool boxes where possible. There are shops up the road in Witney.

9. The fancy wires on the deck are not a washing line. Please use the very long wooden fence or guy ropes to dry things out. Any items on the deck wires will be removed immediately.

10. Try and keep a track of your stuff. Please do not leave things in the changing rooms or club house overnight, or lying about on the grass/deck, else it gets a right muddle - bring everything back to your tent area and hopefully things won't get lost or mixed up.

11. You can bring pets, but the usual rules apply at all times. No dogs on the deck or in the clubhouse and dogs on leads at all times everywhere except on the bund once past the boat park and on the far side of the lake. I'm sure your dog is very special, but it still needs to be on a lead. Please pick up all poo and dispose of it and please don't let your dog wee on the boats, it ruins the coatings.

12. Oh dear this is a long list. As always, please supervise your children at all times. You must be on site with your children at all times or have a nominated adult (18+) who they understand is responsible for them. If you are unavailable during the sailing training times, then you must update the emergency contact on the sign in sheet. No photos of any child that is not your own without parental permission.

13. This really is the last one... Only swim in the swimming area. Do not enter the water anywhere else. You must have 'eyes on' when your children are swimming as you are their life guard, including in the breaks in the training. It's murky and you will struggle to find them unless you saw them go under. No swimming in the top lake unless following the open water course and the rules for that. Probably best not to play in the car park as cars will be coming and going.

ACCIDENTS: Any accidents, the first aid boxes and defibrillator are in the corridor next to the bar door. Please fill in an accident form (on the shelf in the corridor) and post through the brass door. Most of the Instructors and the training secretary are first aid trained and some will be camping, so please don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it.

You will need to confirm that you have read and agree to these instructions before registering for camping. If you don't agree, you can still take part in Junior Sailing Week, but you won't be able to camp.
