Byte & British Moth Open 2012

Update: The Bytes will be joined by the British Moths. Two starts will be used with the Bytes starting 5 minutes ahead of the British Moths.
West Oxfordshire Sailing Club (WOSC) will be holding its Byte Open on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th May 2012. The water at WOSC is a flooded gravel pit some 1000 m long by 300 m wide providing close racing enlivened by shifty winds.
The event is open to both the C2 and Classic rigs. Format of the races may change depending on the entrants (e.g. if there are no Classics then a simple "first past the post" system will be used).
The first race on Saturday will start at 12:00. There will be two further races on Saturday starting at approximately 14:00 and 15:45. Each race will last approximately 1 hour and refreshments will be available from the galley between races. The galley will also be open before the first race for tea/coffee.
There will be two back to back races on Sunday - the first race on Sunday will start at 10:00 and all boats should be off the water by 12:30. Lunch will be available from 13.00 and prize giving will take place at 14:00. Results will be based on the best four results out of the five possible races. In the event that less than five races are sailed then all results shall count (i.e. no discards).
Registration will be possible from 9:00 on Saturday morning. The fee for entering the open meeting will be £15/boat.
Camping is possible on club premises for visitors on the Saturday night, if you wish to camp please let Mike know by Thursday 3rd May.
