Wayfarer Open 2012

otherwise known as the

WOSC Spring Bash

West Oxfordshire Sailing Club (WOSC) will be holding its annual Wayfarer Open on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd April 2012.  The water at WOSC is a flooded gravel pit some 1000 m long by 300 m wide providing close congested racing – hence the potential for bashing!

The first race on Saturday will start at 12.00.  There will be two further races on Saturday starting at approximately 14.00 and 15.45.  Each race will last approximately 1 hour and refreshments will be available from the galley between races.  The galley will also be open before the first race for tea/coffee and bacon rolls.

There will be two back to back races on Sunday - the first race on Sunday will start at 10.00.   Prize giving will take place at 13.00.  Results will be based on the best four results out of the five possible races.

Registration will be possible from 9.00 on Saturday morning.  The fee for entering the open meeting will be £15/boat.

A fish and chip supper will be organised in the club house for  the Saturday evening.  Participants wishing to join the supper should put their names down during registration.

Camping (tents and mobile homes) is possible on club premises for visitors on the Friday and Saturday nights.  Information on local B&Bs or hotels can be provided if required.
